What are eStatements?
eStatements are a service provided by Brookline Bank to allow you to view your monthly statements electronically through our website. eStatements replace your paper statements. They include all the same information as the paper statements, including the front and back of your check images.

  • Security-eStatements are protected by the highest level of commercial encryption available and eStatements will not be lost or stolen in the mail.
  • Accessibility­-View your statements and check images (front & back) online 24 hours a day.
  • Fast-eStatement notices are delivered directly to the email address you provide as soon as your statement is ready for viewing.


 

How do I begin receiving eStatements?
In order to receive eStatements you need to be enrolled and active in our Online Banking service. Through your Online Banking account, you will select the "eStatements & Stock Quotes" tab, press enter in the eStatements section and accept the agreement. You will receive a confirmation email from us notifying you that your enrollment has been completed. Then, once a month, you'll receive a courtesy email letting you know that your eStatement is ready and available for viewing. To access your statement, go to our website (wwwBrooklineBank.com), log on to Online Banking, click on the eStatement tab and choose the appropriate account. It's that quick and easy!

How long will it take to set up my eStatement service?
You will begin receiving your eStatements the next time you are scheduled to receive your paper statement.

What accounts are eligible for eStatements?
All your Online Banking deposit accounts are available as soon as you enroll for eStatements. If you wish to receive a paper statement for some accounts contact us via secure email or call us at 877-668-2265 to make a change.

How do I access my eStatements?
You will receive a courtesy email letting you know that your eStatement is ready and available for viewing. To access your statement, go to our website (www.BrooklineBank.com), log on to Online Banking, click on the eStatement & Stock Quotes tab, choose the eStatement folder and select the appropriate account.

What are my eStatements access requirements?
To access your eStatements, you need a current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer or Firefox to serve as your browser. In addition, you may need Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 or higher, or a TIFF viewer, to view your documents. A link is available on our eStatements Welcome page once your enrollment is complete.

How do I view my eStatements?
When you click on your account number, your current statement is displayed in your browser. Additionally, your past two statements are available in the column to your right.

If you need a PDF viewer, you will see a window asking whether you would like to download a file or save it to disk. Cancel the window and install Adobe Acrobat Reader to view your statement. To install a free PDF viewer, select the link on your welcome page or open http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html in your browser and follow the instructions to download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader.

How do I print my eStatements?
If you have a printer, you can print your eStatements documents directly from your browser.

Can I save my statement and PDF attachment on my computer or a disk?
Yes, in fact, we recommend that you save your monthly statements on either your computer or a disk so you can easily retrieve them in the future. (Your eStatements are only available from our website for three months.)

To save a copy of your electronic statement, click on the "Printable Version" link. Choose "File" then "Save As" from your web browser menu and specify where you want the document saved on your computer or disk. Be sure to save your eStatements as Web Page HTML using the .HTML or .HTM extensions and select a name that will help you remember which statement the file contains (example: January-08 statement.) Or, if you prefer, you can print a hardcopy of the document for your records by selecting the "Printable Version" link.

Can I download my eStatement information into my Personal Finance Management (PFM) software such as Quicken® or Microsoft Money® ?
Yes, you can download your statement information into a PFM.

Will my statement cut off date change?
No, each account will continue to have the same statement cycle date. You will receive a separate email notification when your statement is available to view.

Yes, in order to receive eStatements, you must be an active Online Banking user.

When will I receive my eStatements?
Once a month, you'll receive a courtesy email letting you know that your eStatement is ready and available for viewing. To access your statement, go to our website (www.BrooklineBank.com), log on to Online Banking, click on the eStatement & Stock Quotes tab, click enter next to the eStatement folder and choose the appropriate account. You will receive notification that your eStatements are available to view the day after your statement is cut.

What if I can not access my eStatements?
If you have any problems accessing your eStatements, contact our Customer Service Department at 1-877-668-2265.

What if I don't receive an eStatement when expected?
We monitor the eStatement delivery system for any possible delivery issues so that your eStatement service is not interrupted. If you do not receive your eStatement when it is normally sent, please check to be sure your email mailbox is not full and that your email address has not changed. You should also make sure that the email address we use to send your eStatement notifications does not block certain emails as SPAM.

How do I change my email address, and email delivery options?
It is very important that we have a current email address for you so that we can continue to notify you when your statements are ready and keep you updated about important product information.

To change your email information, log on to Online Banking, click on the "User Option" tab and change your email address for Online Banking.

Is my statement information secure with eStatements?
We take every possible means to ensure that our products and services meet the highest level of security commercially available. To provide the highest level of security, your eStatements are encrypted with the password you chose when you enrolled in Online Banking. As always, we strongly suggest that you protect that password and do not share it. Our online forms require using a browser that supports 128-bit encryption.

Will my eStatement have the same information as the paper statement I previously received?
Yes, your eStatement will contain all the same information as the paper statement you were previously mailed including your check images (front and back) and any important notices from Brookline Bank.

My eStatements have a Statement Insert tab, what can I find here?
The Statement Insert tab is a PDF of any announcement, marketing material, etc, that is sent with the paper statements.

Will I continue to receive paper statements once my eStatement service is set up?
No, once you have completed the enrollment process for eStatements, paper statements are no longer produced for your account(s).

What if I change my mind and want to go back to paper statements?
You can cancel your eStatements delivery at any time. To do so, write to us at Brookline Bank, eStatements, P.O. Box 470469, Brookline, MA 02447-0469, call our Customer Service Center at 1-877-668-2265 or send us a secure email through your Online Banking account under the "Contact Us" tab and selecting the "Click here to send an email option." You will not be charged a fee to revert to paper statements; however, standard research fees may apply if you request copies of previously-sent electronic statements.
