Brookline Bank Announces Holiday Food Drive
to Benefit The Greater Boston Food Bank

Brookline, MA, 11/21/06 – Brookline Bank recently announced that the Bank will hold its annual food drive to benefit The Greater Boston Food Bank.  Brookline Bank will be collecting non-perishable food items from Saturday, November 25th thru Saturday, December 23rd at each of their sixteen locations in the Greater Boston area. 

“We feel very strongly about being a good neighbor to the communities that we serve.” said Joseph Schmitt, Brookline Bank’s Vice President of Marketing. “The employees of Brookline Bank are constantly helping people throughout the year. The drive is an excellent vehicle for our staff and the members of the community to reach out to those who are less fortunate.”

This is the third annual food drive conducted by Brookline Bank. Previous drives have each produced over 2,000 pounds of donated food for The Greater Boston Food Bank.

Drop-off boxes will be set-up in the lobbies of all sixteen Brookline Bank branches throughout Greater Boston.  All members of the community are encouraged to participate.  Branches are located in Arlington, Bedford, Brookline, Lexington, Malden, Medford, Newton and West Roxbury.
