Brookline Bank to Donate $65,000 to the American Red Cross's Hurricane Relief Efforts

Brookline, MA, 12/12/05 – Brookline Bank Chairman and CEO Richard P. Chapman, Jr. announced the completion of the Bank’s drive to raise funds for the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Relief Fund. 

 During the drive, which lasted from September 9^th thru December 5^th, employees and members of the community had the opportunity to donate funds at any of the fifteen Brookline Bank locations and at events in which the Bank participated.  As a result, $20,000 was raised.  The Bank is matching these donations dollar-for -dollar and will contribute an additional $25,000 for a total donation of $65,000.

“Brookline Bank was pleased to offer our employees and the communities we serve a vehicle to aid those affected by this year’s devastating hurricanes.  We appreciate their support in this worthwhile effort to help improve the lives of Gulf Coast residents affected by the storms,” stated Chapman.
