Brookline Bank Donates to the
Mystic Valley Elder Services' Money Management Program

Brookline, MA, 03/31/06 – Brookline Bank announced that it has donated $1,000 to the Mystic Valley Elders Services to serve as a sponsor for the organization’s 2006 Money Management Program.

The Money Management program aids low-income elderly individuals manage their finances.  The program operates by having trained and insured individuals visit elderly residents at least monthly to assist them with opening mail, writing checks, developing and managing a budget and ensuring that financial paperwork is organized and in order.  In addition to the donation, Brookline Bank employees will also volunteer for the program.

“I have first hand experience of the positive impact that this program has had with the elderly in the community,” stated Jack DeFina, the Branch Manager of the Bank’s Malden office.  “I am proud that Brookline Bank is supporting the Mystic Valley Elder Services Money Management program.  I am looking forward to participating in the program with other Brookline Bank employees.”
