Charitable Giving Guidelines

Contributing to the success of our communities and its residents is a top priority at Brookline Bank. We have supported many local organizations, and continue to look for ways to be involved with worthy causes and to make a positive difference in the communities we serve.

Outlined below are our Charitable Giving Guidelines:

  • The organization requesting the funds must directly benefit residents of Arlington, Bedford, Brookline, Lexington, Malden, Medford, Needham, Newton, West Roxbury or their direct neighboring communities
  • The request must be for a special project or new initiative (Brookline Bank does not offer charitable giving support for ongoing operations)
  • The request must meet a clearly defined need for which adequate support is not otherwise available
  • The amount requested must be reasonable and in line with the scope of the project or the number of people who will benefit
  • Grant requests of $2,500 or greater should use the Associated Grantmakers of Massachusetts Common Proposal Form
