Bank celebrates its 150th anniversary with new technology offerings

BOSTON, MA, December 1, 2021 – Brookline Bank, celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, has recently launched a new website with a contemporary look, feel, and layout, plus better accessibility features for those with disabilities. Along with the new website, the bank introduced an updated online account opening system for personal deposit accounts. The new account opening system allows new-to-bank, as well as existing customers to open checking or savings accounts in minutes.

Earlier this year, the bank launched an entirely new Online and Mobile Banking platform that delivers the same user experience across all of a customer’s devices, including personal computers, mobile phones, and tablets. New features include a dashboard that can be configured to a user’s preferences for viewing account information, transactions, important messages, and more. Validation of the new system’s ease of use are the exceptional reviews from Apple® iPhone® users who have given it a 4.8 out of 5 stars in the App Store.

“We are overjoyed that our customers are responding positively to our new tech offerings,” said Darryl Fess, President and CEO, Brookline Bank. “While we have made these technology upgrades for the benefit of our customers, and will continue to make more, we remain highly focused on the personal, hands-on service we’ve provided since our founding 150 years ago.”

From its beginning, Brookline Bank has been focused on its customers and the communities it serves. Today, Brookline Bank is a commercial bank offering a broad range of robust banking services that compete with the large banks, while continuing to maintain the personal and attentive customer service the bank’s customers expect.
