BOSTON, MA, May 10, 2022 – Brookline Bank, its parent company Brookline Bancorp, along with other Bancorp subsidiaries have donated $50,000 to the Americares Ukraine Relief Fund. The donation initiative started among bank employees, several of whom currently have family members in Ukraine who are being directly affected by the conflict. Employee donations were then matched by the company.

“We are proud of our employees who started the fundraising drive to provide humanitarian aid as the war in Ukraine continues,” said Darryl Fess, President and CEO of Brookline Bank. “Our hearts go out to the people of the Ukraine as well as colleagues on our Brookline Bank team who have family members affected by the conflict.”

Americares is a nonprofit organization founded more than 40 years ago, focused on health-focused relief. According to their website, Americares has emergency response teams in Poland and Romania, they provide health services for families affected by the Ukrainian conflict.
