BOSTON, MA, December 20, 2022 – Brookline Bank announced today that 2,825 toys have been collected for Marine Toys for Tots across its 29 banking offices, including 500 stuffed animals donated by the Everett PetSmart store to the Bank’s Malden office.

“We are extremely grateful for the generosity of our customers, employees, and our communities for making this toy drive such a big success,” said Darryl Fess, President and CEO of Brookline Bank. “These toys will make the holidays brighter for many children in need across the Commonwealth.”

The toy drive, which ran from November 7th to December 9th, encouraged donations of new unwrapped toys at Brookline Bank’s 29 office locations. The toys will be distributed to children in need in Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, and Suffolk counties.

Now in their 75th year, Marine Toys for Tots, through the gift of a new toy, helps bring joy to the holidays and sends a message of hope to less fortunate children. Thanks to the public’s generosity, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve has distributed over 542 million toys to more than 250 million children.
