Brookline Bank Spotlights Cityscapes in Business Brief Video Series

BROOKLINE, MASS., September 6, 2018 - Brookline Bank, a full service financial institution with 25 Greater Boston locations, features Janice Goodman, President of Cityscapes, Boston, in the latest edition of the bank’s online Business Brief Video Series. Cityscapes is an innovative Boston-based design company that provides distinctive interiorscape solutions to Boston’s leading hotels and corporate offices. The video series is available here.

Cityscapes began in 1992 as a Boston flower shop with one employee. Today, with more than 70 employees, it offers an array of interior and exterior landscape services with award-winning designs that can be found throughout New England and beyond. Some of its signature horticultural displays in Boston include living walls --vertical gardens attached to an interior or exterior of a building. Cityscape also provides interior plantings and seasonal displays from their locations at 888 Boylston Street, 100 Federal Street, Rowes Wharf, and at the Prudential Center. In 2016, Cityscapes President Janice Goodman was inducted into AmericanHort Interior Plantscape Hall of Fame.

“Cityscapes is a wonderful small business success story,” said Darryl Fess, President and CEO of Brookline Bank. “Over the past 25 years, the company smartly identified growth opportunities that took Cityscapes from a single flower shop to the cutting edge of sustainable design in the plant-care industry.  We are pleased to be Cityscape’s banking partner.”

“Brookline Bank has been a key partner for our growth,” said Goodman. “I love coming into work every day inspired because there’s so many exciting things that we are doing in this industry right now. As Boston and other cities continue to experience building booms, there are endless ways to showcase the importance of plants in the workplace when you design with nature in mind.”

Brookline Bank created the Business Brief Video Series to highlight its business customers and the many ways the bank is helping them grow. Other businesses and organizations highlighted in the Brookline Bank series include Malden-based construction management firm Pidgeon & Co., Bully Boy Distillers in Boston, Fortune Metal Finishing in Needham, and Community Rowing, Inc. in Brighton.
